Spring Watch

Date: 23rd Mar 2016 @ 3:54pm

This morning in class we investigated what ‘spring’ means. We found clues that could let us know that spring has almost arrived. We tried to find some of these clues when we went on our nature hunt. We found lots of bulbs that were beginning to grow into daffodils.

Miss Read showed us how to do leaf rubbings with crayons so while on our nature walk we collected lots of items.

Afterwards we all did some fantastic writing and drawing about what we saw.

We had daffodils in class today and looked at the different parts of a flower. We labelled where the roots, stem, leaves and seeds are.

The Key Stage 2 children got to go to France this week but we’re too little to go so today we had a French day and we got to come dressed in blue, red and white and this afternoon we got to try French food. We tried crepes, baguettes and pain au chocolats. Yum!! We wondered if Mrs Yarwood ate any of these things when she was in France ... We've had a really fun day but all of us in Reception are starting to miss Mrs Yarwood!
