G'Day mate!

Monday 26th Janaury was Australia Day and Reception made the most of learning about this fabulous country. First we found Australia on a globe and we couldn't believe how far away it was! We looked at pictures of famouse places around Australia like the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and Ayres Rock at Ularu.

Mrs Yarwood read us some stories which had lots of animals which can be found in Australia such as Koala bears, dingo's, Wombats, Kookaburras, Kangaroos and many more. Some of us chose to colour or draw pictures of the animals and some of us chose to make dot paintings just like the dreatimes artwork. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreamtime
