Welcome to Year 2 

Welcome to the webpage for Year Two. This is the place to come to get access to resources that will support you throughout the year.

We are a hardworking but fun loving class of 31 pupils. We work well as a team or with a partner but are confident to work on our own. For regular updates of what we are doing in class you can always check out the Scholar Green Primary Facebook page.

Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday, chidren should come to school on these days in their school PE kits which is black joggers or shorts and a green t shirt. They will stay in their kit all day. This half term we are very lucky and have a cricket coach working with us.

We do while class fluency reading in school with some individual reading also taking place. It is really important that you listen to your child read at least 4x per week and sign their reading diary. Children who achieve this for over 50% of the half term will get a reading treat at the end of the half term.

The format of homework has changed a little this year to reflect the views from the parental questionnaire. In the front of their homework books you will see some suggested activities. Ideally we would like children to alternate their choice of homework by selecting from the different  sides each week. Homework books are given out every Thursday and we would like them back in on Monday or Tuesday at the latest please.
