Enrichment/Educational Visits
Aims and Objectives for Educational Visits
Our fundamental aim at Scholar Green Primary School is to provide the best possible education for all our pupils. It is the aim of the school to place a high value on diversity, treating every member of the school community as an individual, and meeting the needs of all, taking account of gender, ethnicity, culture, religion, language, sexual orientation, age, ability, disability and social circumstances. In doing this, we aim, therefore, to raise the achievement of all the children in the school.
Educational Visits and Outdoor and Adventurous Activities are an integral part of the children’s education at Scholar Green Primary School. They offer opportunities to enrich the curriculum, enabling the children to have first-hand experience of a wide range of topics and activities. On residential visits especially, there is opportunity to develop social skills which have a long-lasting beneficial effect.

Robinwood - Year 6
Our Year 6 pupils enjoy an exciting residential visit to Robinwood Adventure Centre, where they take part in a wide range of outdoor and team-building activities such as climbing, canoeing, archery and the famous giant swing. Throughout the trip, children develop important life skills including resilience, independence, communication, problem-solving and teamwork, while building confidence and supporting one another to overcome new challenges. The visit is always filled with laughter, adventure and unforgettable memories, giving pupils the opportunity to strengthen friendships, try new experiences and have enormous fun in a safe and encouraging environment.
Paris - Key Stage 2
Our Key Stage 2 pupils have the exciting opportunity to take part in a residential visit to Paris, staying at Château de Grande Romaine. During the trip, children explore the heart of Paris and experience some of the world’s most famous landmarks, including climbing the iconic Eiffel Tower and visiting attractions such as the Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe and Notre-Dame Cathedral. The residential provides children with valuable opportunities to develop independence, confidence, cultural awareness and social skills, while creating lasting memories with their classmates. Through exploring a new country, trying new experiences and learning beyond the classroom, pupils gain a deeper understanding of history, art and culture whilst having tremendous fun.
