At Scholar Green Primary School, personal development is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to developing confident, respectful, resilient and responsible young people who are well prepared for the next stage of their education and for life in the wider world. Our curriculum extends far beyond academic achievement, providing pupils with a wealth of opportunities to develop their character, leadership skills, independence and understanding of the world around them. In our 2023 Ofsted inspection, personal development was judged as Outstanding, with inspectors recognising that “pupils’ personal development and well-being are central to the life of the school.” They also noted that pupils “benefit from the extensive range of high-quality opportunities to enrich their learning and support their personal development” and that pupils “relish the leadership roles that they can take on from an early age.” We are incredibly proud of the children who leave Scholar Green as kind, confident and capable individuals, equipped with the knowledge, values and skills they need to thrive in modern Britain and beyond.
